Wobbel was there first. When there was none to be found, we created the Wobbel. For our own children, in our own living room. We shared it with love and enthusiasm. Not as a business, but out of conviction.

Hand-finished in the Netherlands.

Our boards do not come from a factory but from a skilled craftsman's workshop. No two are alike. Every edge is beautifully sanded round, every board passes through our hands dozens of times. No Wobbel leaves without us being proud of it. Our customer service is us. Direct and accessible. Involved in everything we do.

FSC-certified as a company.

It is not just our wood that carries the FSC certificate. Wobbel itself is also FSC-certified. Monitored and verified from forest to living room. That takes time, money and effort but we believe it matters. By buying a Wobbel, you do not create fewer trees but more. And that is exactly how we like it.

Made with intention.

Our entire supply chain starts local. Our wood, our felt, the whole chain is Benelux and European. Long distances only happen in bulk. We care about recyclable packaging. A Wobbel is not an anonymous product that rolls off a conveyor belt somewhere far away and is just a number in a spreadsheet. We believe that everything you bring into your home carries energy. Better when it is made with love.

A balance board can be made from many types of wood. We chose FSC beech, not the cheapest but the most flexible and incredibly strong. You feel this in the weight and stability of the Wobbel itself and its performance. They hold 200 kg with ease, so truly everyone can use it.

Colours that feel right.

We did not just pick any colours. Colours tell a story, breathe an atmosphere and invite you in. The Wobbel and its colours are rooted in Montessori and Waldorf colour theory. Soft, natural, and beautiful in any home.

Not a toy, but an heirloom.

A Wobbel is never thrown away. It is kept, passed on, and one day it invites the next generation in. By then it carries a whole stack of memories and appears in countless photos in the album of their childhood. Mum, do we still have our Wobbel? asks the grown-up child one day.

Recognised on the other side of the world.

The Japanese Good Toy Award is one of the most prestigious and exclusive distinctions in the world of toys. An independent Japanese committee evaluates toys on pedagogical value and contribution to physical development. Only toys that score exceptionally on both counts are selected. Wobbel has won this award, along with the Milk Award and Toy of the Year in Poland. Are we about awards? Not really, recognition as described in point 7 means more to us. We will never pay for an award or participate if money is involved. These awards were given to us without our involvement, purely on the merit of our Wobbel. And yes, that makes us very happy.
