1. What exactly is in the package and do I need any extra tools? The package contains a new felt layer with self-adhesive backing in your chosen color and clear instructions in English. You'll also need a lint shaver or razor blade (for smoothing), a vacuum cleaner, a needle (for air bubbles) and optionally WhatsApp for help. The felt is self-adhesive.
2. How do I clean and smooth the old felt layer properly before starting? Make the current felt as even as possible by removing loose parts with a lint shaver or razor blade. Don't worry about stains, but do watch for bumps. Vacuum the old layer thoroughly. This prevents unevenness under the new layer.
3. My Wobbel is an older model – will the new felt fit it? Yes, the package is available for Original, Pure, and XL. The dimensions of these Wobbels have been exactly the same for 10 years, so the new felt is tailored to them. However, every Wobbel is unique due to use. There may be a small size difference (normal and unavoidable) due to the natural behavior of the felt (expanding or shrinking from moisture, wear, and use). So preferably use the same color as the old for a seamless transition. Follow the fit check in the instructions: place the sticker (still closed) on the edges to check.
4. How do I position the new felt sticker exactly without going crooked? Place the Wobbel with the curved side up on a spacious workspace. Lay the closed sticker exactly on the old felt edges and check all sides. Clamp in the middle with the clamps. Start sticking on a short side and position the corners exactly on the old corners with both hands.
5. What if I stick it crooked or make a mistake during application? Pull the felt very carefully and evenly with two hands from the error spot, without pulling too hard (this permanently deforms the felt). Start over from there. Take your time – the first attachment is crucial.
6. How do I prevent air bubbles under the new felt? Keep tension on the felt with both hands while peeling off the paper bit by bit and sticking it down. Rub gently smooth after each section. If a bubble does form, prick it with a needle or rub it out. The clamps help maintain tension along the way.
7. The felt doesn't seem to fit perfectly in size – what now? This is normal due to variations in production and use, specifically from the natural behavior of the felt (expanding or shrinking from moisture, wear, and use) – the size of the Wobbel Original itself has been exactly the same for 10 years. The new felt may seem slightly smaller or larger. Choose the same color as the old to minimize differences. 8. How long should I wait before using the Wobbel intensively again? It can be played with immediately. In fact, the more wobbling, the better. Don't open it to check if it's stuck: give the glue and fibers time to bond. After 24 hours it's basically secure, but intensive use helps with the final adhesion.
9. Is it safe for children and how sustainable is this process? Yes, the wool felt is high-quality Oeko-Tex certified and completely child-friendly. The process is DIY and at your own responsibility, without guarantee on results or damage. It fits a circular approach: give your Wobbel a second life. Follow the instructions to minimize risks.

11. Can I use a different color than I have now?
