Which Wobbel should I choose?
Every Wobbel is the same promise: open-ended, timeless and growing with your child, just in a different size.
How much does a Wobbel balance board cost?
A Wobbel starts from € 99. You configure it exactly the way you want: colour, size, with or without felt. In our webshop you can see all the options and the price right away.
Which colours does the Wobbel come in?
Have a look in our webshop to see which colours are available. And because every piece of wood has its own natural grain, every wooden balance board is unique.
Can I configure a Wobbel completely to my own wishes?
Absolutely! You choose from 4 sizes, 8 standard wool felt colours and 1 cork option.
From what age is a balance board suitable?
The Wobbel grows with your child, from baby to adult. The Wobbel without cork, with felt, is CE-certified from 0 months; the Wobbel with cork from 3 years. For the very youngest, the Starter is ideal. Also have a look at our user manual .
Which Wobbel suits my floor: felt or no felt?
Do you have a hard floor, such as laminate, wood, stone, tiles, linoleum or marmoleum? Then choose a Wobbel with felt. The felt protects your floor and the Wobbel, and also dampens the sound. Do you have carpet or a soft surface? Then a Wobbel without felt is perfectly fine. For vinyl floors we also recommend felt, just to be safe.
What is the difference between cork and wool felt?
Our EKO wool felt is made from the finest natural felt there is. It is hard-wearing, protects your floor and the Wobbel, and absorbs sound beautifully. It feels warm and soft and comes in 8 beautiful colours. 90% of our customers choose wool felt.
Our sustainable cork feels pleasant and is just a little firmer than felt. Cork, however, is less resistant to scratches and sharp objects, which is why a Wobbel with cork is only suitable from 3 years. Cork also protects the floor and the Wobbel and is a lovely vegan option.
Why is the Wobbel with cork only suitable from 3 years?
Small children love to pick at everything. If they were to pick off pieces of cork and put them in their mouth, there would be a risk of choking. For the very youngest, it is therefore better to choose a Wobbel with felt.
What is the Wobbel made of? Is it sustainable?
A Wobbel is made of FSC-certified European beech wood, treated with child-friendly lacquers, and finished with ecological wool felt or sustainable cork. Read all about it in our stories.
Is the Wobbel certified (CE)?
This product has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of DIRECTIVE 2009/48/EC on the safety of toys. The basic model and the Wobbel with felt are suitable from 0 months; the Wobbel with cork from 3 years. The CE testing was carried out by Certification Company.
How does my child play safely on the Wobbel?
Safe wobbling is above all wobbling together. Join in the first few times and build it up gently. A few simple rules help: keep hands away from the edge, allow about 2 metres of free space all around, and always place the Wobbel on a flat, level surface. Bare feet or shoes with non-slip soles give the best grip. You will find all the tips in the user manual.
How many kilos can a balance board carry, and how many children can be on it?
The Wobbel is CE-certified for a maximum of 200 kg (Wobbel Starter: 100 kg). Children only play on/with the Wobbel under supervision; see also the user manual.
Is the Wobbel also for adults?
My child (or I myself) has an illness or disability. Is the Wobbel still useful?
It is best to discuss this with your doctor or therapist, who can tell you exactly what is and is not possible in your situation. We receive many enthusiastic responses from physiotherapists who see possibilities for the Wobbel in their practice. So there is a good chance the Wobbel can mean something for your child (or yourself).
Can the Wobbel be used outdoors?
The Wobbel is made for indoor use. In summer you can play with it outside, but it will wear faster, so preferably place it on a rug on the grass. Never leave the Wobbel outside: water and moisture damage the lacquer, the wood, the felt and the cork. Tip: put a rug or artificial grass under the Wobbel to limit wear.
How big and heavy is the Wobbel?
Original: approx. 90 cm long, 30 cm wide, approx. 4.5 kg.
XL: approx. 115 cm long, 40 cm wide, approx. 6.5 kg.
Starter: approx. 70 cm long, 27.5 cm wide.
Where can I buy the Wobbel?
What is the delivery time?
In the webshop you will see the exact delivery time for each product. If your Wobbel is in stock, we ship it within a few days, configured exactly as you want it, and you will usually have it at home within a week. Need it for a special day? Email us: [email protected].
Do you also ship the Wobbel abroad?
Absolutely! We ship the Wobbel to most European countries.
How do I clean the Wobbel (cleaning and maintenance)?
Wipe the Wobbel with a damp cloth (with a mild cleaning agent if needed) and then dry it with a dry cloth. Cork and felt are best cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or with gall soap. Not too wet: otherwise the glue may come loose or the cork may swell. No further maintenance is needed.
Can I replace the felt myself?
After years of play, your felt may well do with a refresh or a different colour. Good news: you can now easily do this yourself with our do-it-yourself felt kit. Using the included instructions, you apply fresh felt so your Wobbel looks as good as new and lasts for years to come. Sustainable and affordable. View the felt kit →
